| Апісанне | Curious Grenadians inspect ashes and rotor blade that represent the only remains of a U.S. Marine Corps Bell AH-1T SeaCobra, 25 October 1983. The SeaCobra was assigned to Marine medium helicopter transport squadron HMM-261 aboard the USS Guam (LPH-9). During the first day of the invasion of Grenada it was hit during an attack on Fort Frederick and crash landed on a football (US: soccer) field. The pilot, Capt. Jeb F. Seagle was killed after the crash, the co-pilot, Capt. Timothy B. Howard was seriouly wounded, but was rescued. |
