Аперацыя «Сціранне табліцы»
Аперацыя «Сціранне табліцы» (фр.: Effacer le tableau) — кампанія кангалезскіх паўстанцаў, накіраваная супраць пігмеяў. Арганізавана ў канцы 2002 года групоўкамі «Вызваленчы рух Конга» і «Кангалезскае аб’яднанне за дэмакратыю»[1]. Падзеі разгортваліся на фоне Другой кангалезскай вайны. Праваабарончыя арганізацыі, у тым ліку Human Rights Watch, заклікалі прызнаць кампанію генацыдам[2].
Аперацыя пачалася ў раёне горада Мамбаса ў правінцыі Ітуры на ўсходзе ДР Конга. У ходзе вайны рэгіён стаў адным з «самых крывавых кутоў» краіны[3].
Асноўнай мэтай кампаніі было заваяванне правінцыі Паўночнае Ківу ў ДРК і ліквідацыя пігмейскай абшчыны ва ўсходніх рэгіёнах. Акрамя масавых забойстваў, баевікі практыкавалі канібалізм. Паўстанцы не прызнавалі пігмеяў за людзей і верылі, што іх плоць валодае «магічнай сілай»[4]. Паводле ацэнак, ад 60 000 да 70 000 прадстаўнікоў групы былі забітыя падчас кампаніі[5]. Яшчэ больш за 100 000 чалавек пакінулі свае дамы[6].

During their offensive against the civilian population of the Ituri region, the rebel groups left more than 60,000 dead and over 100,000 displaced. The rebels even engaged in slavery and cannibalism. Human Rights Reports state that this was due to the fact that rebel groups, often far away from their bases of supply and desperate for food, enslaved the Pygmies on captured farms to grow provisions for their militias or when times get really tough simply slaughter them like animals and devour their flesh which some believe gives them magical powers. 11.
